Women

I am passionate about helping women at various stages of their life as they navigate the challenges that life brings. Women experience anxiety and depression at higher rates than men and are often the people doing the caring. When it comes to caring for themselves, a lot of the time women put themselves last.

There’s simply not enough time to even wash your hair or eat anything more than the crusts of a sandwich some days, let alone do something that feels as self-indulgent as seeking therapy from a professional!

The perinatal and postnatal periods are times in a woman’s life where anxiety and depression become even more prevalent. It is so important to have support and to feel that you are able to express all that you feel in a safe and non judgemental environment.

The menopause is also a time with so much psychological adaptation as well as the physical changes that occur. This time is complex and it is not often spoken about in a way that fosters self-compassion and acceptance. I am passionate about helping women at all stages of life, to live according to their values.
